The Senegal Olympic team on Saturday began the groundwork for their clash with Oman on April 23 for a ticket to the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.
The Senegal football federation president Augustin Senghor said his side would undergo two training workshops with the Under-23 team in Dakar and in Europe ahead of the play-off taking place in Coventry, England.
The Teranga Lions’ assistant coach Aliou Cisse has been mandated to begin a tour of European clubs this week in view of securing the release of Senegalese professionals who are members of the country’s Olympic team.
The Oman team is coached by former Cameroon trainer, Frenchman Paul Le Guen, who led the Indomitable Lions to the 2010 Fifa World Cup in South Africa.
