The time gap since Lyon’s last title victory has been growing and they will be looking to put that right this season. However, Lyon themselves have not fared much better in the pre-season, although they played in only four pre-season matches. Three points away to Nice would be essential for Lyon if they are to challenge for the title, and it would also be a great way to start the new season.
