FA CUP FINAL today 14 May 2011 Manchester City vs Stoke City at Wembley Stadium. Manchester City will be looking to end a thirty five year trophy drought. Manager Roberto Mancini will be sweating over the fitness of star striker Carlos Tevez who is a doubt with a hamstring injury. The Citizens knocked out bitter rivals Manchester United in the last round. Stoke are bidding for only the second trophy in the club's history and are making their first ever FA Cup Final appearance in the club's 148 year history. Tony Pulis' side hammered Bolton 5-0 at Wembley in the semi-final to reach this stage and head into the game on a five match unbeaten run. Matthew Etherington and Robert Huth are both injury doubts for the Potters.

The all-time FA Cup series between these two teams is tied at three wins each with one draw. Last season they met in an early round of the Cup, when Stoke needed two games and extra time to emerge victorious. Previously, these clubs hadn't met in the cup since a 1-0 Stoke win in 1976. The last time City beat Stoke in the FA Cup was a 3-2 win in 1973. This season in the Premier League, the two teams drew 1-1 at Britannia Stadium in November with the return leg to be played three days after the final.
